Industry specific SEO guides

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

When you are in the business of SEO you know that to start working with new types of businesses acting in industries that you previously did not know so much about can be though. It takes quite some time to learn the dynamics behind a new industry in terms of SEO, especially in terms of which words are converting, where are the large search volumes etc.

In this regard I found a new interesting site called Optimized.org’s SEO guides. They have a not so usual take on presenting information about SEO in that they make their content industry specific. For an example check out their automotive SEO guide which gives some tips of what to think about when doing search engine optimization for the automotive industry and specifically car dealers operating in a specific region.

Although not completely there yet the future for Optimized seems to be to make a directory with SEO consultants specialising in different industries. I think this is a great idea since on of the key point of successful SEO is link building from relevant sites. As an SEO you of course have sites of interest in the industries that you have previously worked with as opposed to an industry that you never worked with.

I feel Optimized has a great take and somewhat innovative take about how to present valuable information to both people who want to do their SEO themselves as well as the ones looking for an SEO consultant … and that can maybe now found consultant that is actually recommended for their specific industry.
